Elaborate arrangements for Ganesh idols immersion in diff cities

Aurangabad: Elaborate arrangements has been made in the Marathwada region to avert any untoward incident in view of  the Ganesh idol immersion on the occasion of Ananta Chaturdashi, police sources here said on Thursday. 
Anant Chaturdashi, the festival is also known as Ganesh Visarjan or Anant Chaudas, which marks the end of 10 days long Ganesh festival. The Visarjan would take place on Thursday. 
 
According to the police sources, security arrangements had been revived  on the occasion of Ganesh immersion idols, with putting drone cameras in route of procession to avert any untoward incident.
       
In Aurangabad, immersion procession would  starts on Thursday afternoon, under the heavy security, with 'Mahaarthi at traditional Sansthan Ganesh temple, which is known as city's 'Gramdaivat' situated in the old city.
       
As per the tradition, Sansthan Ganesh temple's Ganesh idol comes the first in procession for immersion, followed by other mandals idols.
       
During the past 11-day, many activities were being happened such as dhol competition, bhandaras (free meals to all), Bhajan and Kirtans, Dramas, blood donation camps, competitions and others programmes organised by the apex body of Ganesh Mahasangh and other Ganesh mandals in and around the city.
 
Civic authorities has also made arrangements at different places for the immersion of Ganesh idols in and around the city.
       
The city police have set fixed points in different parts in the city, including the Hudco-Cidco areas. CCTV cameras have been installed on the routes of the city. Police department preparing full security arrangements on the different route of procession,police said.
       
More than 2000 security personnel have been deployed to ensure that the procession is peaceful. Numbers of roads traffic have been diverted.
       
The district Police Commissioner Chiranjeev Prasad will be keeping a close watch on movements in the city during the procession.
       
The DCPs, ACPs, PIs, APIs-PSIs, companies of SRPF and CRPF, home guards and constabulary staffers will move with the immersion procession, police added.
       
According some reports in other districts, security has been similarly beefed up for immersion of Lord Ganesha in the regions.
       
Lakhs of devotees in the city and the Marathwada region will bid adieu Lord Ganesh this evening marking the end of 11-day-long festival.
             
There was no reports of  any untoward incident in past eleven days in the region.

Over 2,500 Vinayagar idols immersed in sea
 
Chennai: More than Over 2,500 idols of Lord Ganesha, erected at various places across the city and suburbs as part were taken out in processions and immersed in the sea on Sunday, amidst tight security.
 
Police sources said the the immersion of idols and the processions, that marked the culmination of the week-long Vinayaka Chathurthi celebrations, that began on Monday, passed off peacefully.
 
Braving the blazing sun, the Ganesh idol processions passed through the designated route and reached the sea at five immersion points identified by the police,including at the Marina beach front.
 
More than 10,000 police personnel were deployed on security duty. More policemen were posted in sensitive areas like Triplicane, as idols of various hues and sizes, installed by 
several hindu outfits, including the Hindu Munnani, were brought in processions and immersed in sea.
 
While 21 idols were immersed in sea on Friday, 121 idolswere immersed yesterday. Today more than 2,500 idols were immersed, police said.Police have given permission to install 2,600 idols this year as part of the festival. 
 
As the day wore on, the mercury level started increasingby noon, but the searing heat did not deter the spirit of those coming in idol immersion processions, as they braved the scorching heat and brought the idols to the beach front.amid chanting of 'Ganapati Bappa Morya'.
 
Hundreds of trucks, carrying the idols, queued up on the roads leading to the Marina beach front for immersion in the Bay of Bengal.
 
Giant cranes were installed in the sea front to carry big sized idols for immersion, even as fishermen lent a helpinghand by carrying the idols into the sea for immersion.
 
All security arrangements made for Ganesh immersion tomorrow
 
Hyderabad: All security arrangements have been made for the final Ganesh immersion to be held on Thursday, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said on Wednesday.
 
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Kumar said that about 21,000 police  forces including Police Officers from other districts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Central Police Force like Rapid Action Force (RAF), Railway Protection Force (RPF)  and Telangana State Special Police would be deployed for the security.
 
For the convenient of the public, the police have divided the city into divisions and appointed a senior police officer as in-charge to look into the security arrangements, he said and added that about 17,000 idols had already been immersed so far.He said  the 18.9 Kms from Balapur to Hussain Sagar was an  important route. 
 
Mr Kumar said  that 90 per cent of Genesh idols would be immersed in Hussain Sagar. Apart from this, four other places including Rajanna bowli and Meeralam tank were also being  used for Ganesh immersion. Necessary arrangements like cranes, generators,  ambulances, fire brigadiers, water Cannon, boats  were arranged at all the immersion points, he said.
 
Stating that a main control room was  set up at Police Commissioner Office, Basheebagh,  the Police Commissioner said co-ordinated control rooms were set up at NTR Marg, Tank Bund and other places.
 
In the wake of success of Geo tagging system during 2018, he said that this year  Geo tagging was held to 11,198 idols. As per their code, police may be able track the idols movement, he added.
 
Stating that 3 lakh CCTV cameras are installed across the city so far, Mr Kumar said  261 cameras were installed especially for immersion purpose  including the main route of Balapur to Hussain Sagar and Bada Ganesh Khairatabad.
 
Apart from  CCTV cameras, 26  viewing centres also setup for Ganesh immersion, he said and added that  66 special cameras and  4 mountain vehicle cameras also being used around  the Tank Bund and Necklace road for monitoring security.
 
Speaking on Bada Ganesh, Khairatabad, Mr Kumar said that the procession of the Bada Ganesh idol would start at 0630 hours on Thursday morning and end at about 1230 hours.
 
Stating that the Muharram and 550th Guru Nanak Praksh Yatra went on a peaceful manner during the last week, Mr Kumar hoped that the Ganesh immersion would  also be held on the same lines with the help of public, police department and the organizers of Ganesh mandapams.(UNI)
