New Delhi: Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla, who was the face of Gujjar quota protests in Rajasthan, has passed away after suffering from prolonged illness.
Expressing condolence on Thursday, Congress leader Sachin Pilot said, "Heartbroken to hear the sad news of the passing away of Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla. My deepest sympathies are with the bereaved family at this difficult time. May God give place to the departed soul at his feet and give strength to the family members to bear this loss."
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla tweeted, "Condolences to the demise of Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla, a strong leader of the social movement. He fought lifelong for social rights. May the departed soul rest in peace, my condolences to the family."
Born on September 12, 1940, he served the Indian Army in 1962, 1965 and 1971 wars. (UNI)
