Moscow: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s bilateral talks with President Vladimir Putin, the Ostankino Tower - one of the tallest towers in Europe located in Moscow, was illuminated in the Indian tricolour on Monday evening, in a tribute to the Indian PM’s visit.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, Russian artistes were seen beating the dhol and rehearsing dance steps to Indian songs at the iconic Red Square, which is situated in the heart of the city. This place is a symbol of the country's rich history and cultural heritage.

A group of the Indian diaspora was seen gathered in front of PM Modi’s hotel, the Carlton, expressing their support and enthusiasm at his visit.
 
PM Modi is set to hold the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit with President Putin on Tuesday, which will see the two leaders hold informal talks followed by delegation level talks.
 
The summit will focus on various aspects of bilateral cooperation, including defence and cultural exchange, aiming to strengthen and expand the multifaceted partnership between the two countries.
