Gadkari faints on stage in Maharashtra's Ahmednagar

Ahmednagar: Union Minister for Shipping Nitin Gadkari on Friday fainted during an event here.He was here to attend the convocation function of the Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV) Agricultural University in Rahuri.

After his speech, as the national anthem starting playing, the Minister fainted and collapsed, but was caught by Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, who was also present on the stage. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition was said to be stable. 

Later, he left for Shirdi to pay obeisance to Sai Baba. The media will be accompanying  him, sources said.Mr Gadkari then took to Twitter to say he was fine and that he had fainted because of low blood sugar.(UNI)
