Confirmed! Pakistan among the 75 countries receiving COVID vaccine from India

Tirupati: Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday said that under the stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has developed vast capacity to manufacture major COVID-19 vaccines and become a vaccine supplier to the world.

 
Speaking to reporters after offering prayers to lord Venkateshwara at Tirumala, Mr Goyal said India has developed capacity to supply vaccines to 150 nations and is presently providing vaccines to 75 countries including Pakistan on humanitarian grounds.
 
The Union Minister said under the 'Atma Nirbhar' program of PM Modi, the country has promoted large scale of research and development of vaccine infrastructure to deliver not only Indian citizen but also entire humanity.
 
He said though passenger traffic had reduced during Covid season, it had picked up by 80 per cent already but Railways served the nation with record movement of goods particularly food grains and vegetables and essential commodities .
 
He said the Railways Ministry has taken up repairs and modernisation of Tirupati railway station with more passenger facilities like escalators, rest rooms , food courts ,medical stations and vigilance outposts to cater to huge crowds of pilgrims coming for 'Srivari Darshan'.
 
He was accompanied by AP Finance Minister B Rajendranath Reddy, TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy,TTD Executive Officer Dr K S Jawahar Reddy, Additional Executive Officer AV Dharma Reddy.
 
Earlier, the Railway Minister also offered prayers to Goddess Padmavathi at Tiruchanur near here.(UNI)
