Indian Army Dhruv chopper crashes near Lakhanpur, one pilot succumbs to injuries, another critical

Jammu: Hours after Dhruv Chopper crashed at Lakhanpur in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, one of the Army officers succumbed to his injuries and another is battling for life.

Official sources here said that two Indian Army pilots suffered injuries when Dhruv Chopper crashed inside an Army establishment at Basohli Morh in Lakhapur in Kathua district on Monday evening at around 1920 hours.

They said that Army’s Dhruv Chopper crash lands in Lakhanpur, adding, “two pilots received grievous injuries and were evacuated and rushed to the Military Base Hospital at Pathankot.”

“One of them identified as Lt Col Rishab Sharma, succumbed to his injuries while Captain Anjani Kumar is on ventilation,” they added. (UNI)
