Indian, Chinese troops exchange sweets and gifts on Diwali

New Delhi: A day after the completion of the disengagement process between Indian and Chinese troops in the Depsang and Demchok areas of Eastern Ladakh, soldiers of both the countries on the occasion of Diwali on Thursday exchanged gifts and sweets.
 
Sweets were exchanged between the soldiers of India and China at the Chushul-Moldo Meeting Point, Daulat Begh Oldie, Kongkla, Hot Spring and Karakoram Pass in Ladakh.
 
The Indian Army gave this information is a series of posts on its social media handle X along with pictures.
 
"Soldiers of Indian Army and Chinese Peoples Liberation Army exchange sweets & gifts at the Chushul-Moldo Meeting Point on the occasion of Diwali," the Indian Army said,
 
"Chinese troops exchange Diwali sweets at Daulat Beg Oldie, Line of Actual control.
 
Sweet gestures of peace, Indian & Chinese troops exchange sweets at Kongkla, Line of Actual Control, promoting harmony & goodwill on Diwali," the Indian Army said.
 
"Indian, Chinese troops exchange sweets at Hot Spring, Line of actual control.
 
Indian, Chinese troops exchanging sweets at KK PASS, marking a new era of cooperation," the Indian Army said.
 
It may be mentioned that the disengagement process between Indian and Chinese troops in the Depsang and Demchok areas of eastern Ladakh was completed on Wednesday.
 
On October 21, India and China reached an agreement on patrolling along the LAC in eastern Ladakh, ending the over four-year-long military standoff.
