Indian Railways introduces 'Baby Berth', See PHOTOS

In order to make the train journey more comfortable for mothers who are travelling with their child, Indian Railways has launched a ‘baby berth’. This facility will be available in the lower seats.

This berth is foldable and can be secured with a stopper. This berth has been introduced in Lucknow Mail on experimental basis to facilitate women travelling with children.

The official Twitter account of the Northern Railway Lucknow Division informed that the new baby birth is foldable with hinges, and can be secured with a stopper when needed.

"A baby berth has been introduced in Coach no 194129/ B4, berth no 12 and 60 in Lucknow Mail, to facilitate mothers traveling with their baby. Fitted baby seat is foldable about hinge and is secured with a stopper," tweeted DRM, Lucknow Division of Northern Railway zone.
