Indore: 25 devotees fall into Bawdi during Ram Navami celebrations, PM Modi expresses grief

Indore/ Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the accident in Indore on Thursday and prayed to God for the well-being of the affected.
 
In a tweet, Modi said, he was deeply saddened by the Indore tragedy. He also spoke to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan regarding the accident and got the latest information.
 
PM Modi said, the state government is engaged in relief and rescue operations at a rapid pace.
 
 
At least 25 devotees were trapped after the roof of an old Bawdi collapsed in a religious place complex in Indore on Thursday.
 
Efforts have been initiated to evacuate them.
 
CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken cognizance of the matter and directed the administration to evacuate the devotees safely.
 
According to official sources, the roof over the old Bawdi collapsed in a temple complex in Patel Nagar locally. Due to this, the devotees who came to the temple premises were trapped.
 
Some people are also reported to be injured. As soon as the information was received, divisional commissioner and collector also reached the spot and relief, and rescue operations are going on.
