New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday took a dig at the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman calling it as a “Kursi Bachao” Budget.
On social media post X, Gandhi further said that this budget is “Appease Allies, Appease Cronies and Copy and Paste.
He said, “Kursi Bachao” Budget.
“- Appease Allies: Hollow promises to them at the cost of other states. - Appease Cronies: Benefits to AA with no relief for the common Indian and - Copy and Paste: Congress manifesto and previous budgets,” the Raebareli MP said.
Meanwhile, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on X said “This Budget is not for progress of the country but save Modi government Budget”.
Calling the Budget as “copycat Budget”, Kharge said that the Modi Government could not even copy Congress’ justice agenda properly.
He said, “After 10 years, limited announcements have been made for the youth, who are bearing the brunt of the slogan of two crore jobs per year. Only superficial talks have been held for farmers and one and a half times of MSP and doubling of income – all turned out to be electoral fraud”.
The Congress President alleged that “There was nothing for women, and no major announcements were made with regards to Urban Development, Rural Development, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, MSME, Investment, EV scheme”.
Kharge further said that there was no mention about Census and caste census. “This is the fifth Budget which is being presented without Census! This is a shocking and unprecedented failure – which is against democracy and the Constitution!,” the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha said.
He alleged that there is no plan in the budget and BJP is only busy in the action of cheating the public.
