J&K Encounter: Two Pak terrorists killed, third injured in ongoing operation

Jammu:Two Pakistani terrorists have been eliminated, while third one is injured in an ongoing encounter in Kakrayal village of Katra in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.During the encounter, ten security personnel including an officer and five CRPF men have been wounded.
A day after terrorists fired at a police party and fled from the spot, encounter started between security forces and the terrorists near Kakrayal-Jhajjar Kotli on Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Reasi.
 
"The area was cordoned this morning after terrorists were intercepted and trapped in a house of one Ishwar Dass by the search parties of army, police and CRPF while they fired at them which was retaliated and exchange of fire started," said a police spokesman.
 
He said that after around 24 hours long search operation, escaped terrorists have been trapped near village Kakrayal clise to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.Ten persons so far including of J&K Police and CRPF have got injured while two terrorists has also been neutralised. "The operation is on," he added.
 
The injured CRPF were HarshPal Singh 6 Bn, Pancham Singh 6 Bn, Abhay Singh 187 Bn, Manoj Kumar AC 187 Bn and Zakir Hussain 6Bn.However injured from J&K Police were SDPO Nagrota DySP Ashok Sharma, Sgct mohd Iqbal, cinstable Bhanu Partap Singh.
 
"All injured are stable with minor injuries and are currently in Narayana hospital," said the spokesman.Meanwhile Udhampur district administration has ordered closure of all the schools in the region.
 
GOC Uniform Force Maj Gen Arvind Bhatia said that two terrorists have been killed while third one is one the run as he has suffered an injury in his leg."There are inputs that they have infiltrated between Samba-Bobiya area along international border and the truck driver and co- driver were the guides, who were taking them to the Kashmir valley for Rs 30,000 which they have demanded," said the GOC.
 
He added that they might have big target and that is why they were going to Kashmir where they get all logistic support which is impossible for them in Jammu, adding, "had they been on no big mission, they could have targeted any major installation on the way."
 
The Major General said that the truck driver Rayz Ahmed from Budgam and his helper Maqbool from Chareri Sharief, on Wednesday morning halted at a 'dhaba' and asked for five breakfasts, which created suspicion and the truck was searched and they opened fire.
"Our para commandoes, police and CRPF men are chasing the third terrorist," he added.
Meanwhile, IGP Jammu S D Singh Jamwal told reporters at encounter site that the number terrorists was three and out of them two are eliminated.
 
"We carried out the operation keeping in mind that no injury or loss to civilian life," said the top cop adding that the terrorists as inputs have come from Pakistan and infiltrated from Dialachak area in Kathua district.
 
"The guides (truck driver-helper) are being questioned to ascertain the facts and modus operandi of the terrorists," he added.Meanwhile traffic on Jammu-Srinagar national highway was suspended and diverted to alternate routes.
 
Three terrorists on Wednesday fired at a police party during checking of vehicles near Jhajjar Kotli and escaped from a truck they were travelling in.A civilian also suffered injuries and the truck driver with his helper were arrested on the spot.One Ak-47 rifle and three magazine were also recovered from the truck.(UNI)
