JNU Professor booked for sexual harassment

New Delhi: Delhi Police has booked a Professor of Jawaharlal Nehru University for molesting and sexually harassing a student of Social Sciences department of JNU, here.

According to police, a complaint was received on Friday, following which an FIR was registered against the accused under relevant Sections, for sexual harassment, outraging the modesty of a woman and other charges.

According to the complainant, the Professor had been sexually harassing her for a long time. When the situation worsened, she approached the police. Earlier this year, another JNU professor was booked and arrested for sexually harassing several female students, however, he was later released on bail.(UNI)
