Hyderabad: Cyberabad SOT and Excise officials conducted a raid on a farmhouse owned by Raj Pakala in Janwada at midnight on Saturday.
The raid was conducted after receiving complaints of loud noise. During searches, a gathering of 21 men and 14 women was discovered, with officials seizing seven bottles of foreign liquor, ten bottles of Indian liquor, and several gaming-related items.
All male attendees were subjected to drug tests, and Vijay Madduri tested positive for cocaine. He was taken to the hospital for further blood testing. Authorities registered a case under Sections 25, 27, and 29 of the NDPS Act and Sections 3 and 4 of the Telangana Gaming Act at Mokila Police Station against Raj Pakala and Vijay Madduri.
Additionally, as Raj Pakala, who is also a close relative of BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR), lacked an excise license for the gathering, the excise taskforce registered a case against him under Section 34A, Section 34(1), read with Section 9 of the Excise Act.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials emphasised that strict action will continue against illegal gatherings and activities, a police statement said on Sunday.
