Main accused of Kushinagar mosque blast Haji Qutubuddin nabbed

Kushinagar:Uttar Pradesh police has arrested Haji Qutubuddin and his grandson in connection with the November 11 Kushinagar mosque blast case, police sources said here on Friday.
 

The mastermind Qutubuddin was caught on the Indo-Nepal border near Gorakhpur when he was trying to cross over to Nepal on Thursday night.
 
Qutubuddin's grandson, a retired defence personal, Ashfaq were also nabbed from Hyderabad.
Altogether, six people, including three minors, have been arrested by police in the blast case in which no one was injured.
 
Qutubuddin, a native of Mau and a retired employee of the state PWD, had on April brought 10 kilogram of explosives and stored in the mosque. His grandson, who retired from Army's medical wing in 2017, was also present when the explosive was brought to the mosque.
 
Meanwhile, ATS, which is investigating the matter, said Ashfaq is being brought from Hyderabad and thereafter they will interrogate Qutubuddin and Ashfaq together.(UNI)
