Patna: Nitish Kumar sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the eight time on Wednesday while Tejashwi Yadav took oath as Deputy Chief Minister for the second time, bringing back the JD-(U)-RJD alliance in government after five years.
The JD-U walked out of its alliance with the BJP on Tuesday, and joined hands with the RJD-Congress-Left alliance.
Nitish ended his alliance with the BJP and resigned as the Chief Minister before staking claim to form a new government again hours later with the RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav as his deputy.
Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, Tejashwi's wife Rajshree and brother Tej Pratap were also present at the swearing in ceremony.
Rabri Devi, meanwhile, said that the alliance would be beneficial for Bihar and the country and added that 'all mistakes of past have been forgiven'. (UNI)
