New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and Bollywood actor has responded to the Youth Congress jibe on Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a jibe on the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi but later apologised for the tweet. Responding to the 'Indian Youth Congress' online magazine 'Yuva Desh,' which took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's background by tweeting his picture in conversation with US President Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Theresa May, Paresh Rawal, in an apparent jjbe at Rahul, tweeted, "Our Chai-Wala is any day better than tour Bar-Wala."He later deleted the tweet and apologised for 'hurting feelings'.'Deleted the tweet as it’s in bad taste n I apologise for hurting feelings,'Paresh Rawal tweeted. 

In its controversial tweet, Yuva Desh had posted a meme that showed a picture of Prime Minister Modi in conversation with the United States President and UK Prime Minister, asking them if they were aware of the various 'memes' on him, which have been circulated on social media by the Opposition.The meme, which took a jibe at PM Modi's background as a tea seller.


Hours after the tweet was put out, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani asked if Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi would approve of such a jibe at the country's head.Soon after the Congress distanced itself from the tweet by Youth Congress' online magazine's saying that the party's culture imbibed respect for the Prime Minister and all political opponents.
