PM greets radio listeners on World Radio Day

New Delhi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday greeted all radio listeners on World Radio Day and said radio is a fantastic medium, which deepens social connect.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, "Happy World Radio Day! Greetings to all radio listeners and kudos to all those who keep the radio buzzing with innovative content and music."
 
He further said that Radio is a "fantastic medium", which deepens social connect. "I personally experience the positive impact of radio thanks to MannKiBaat," he added.
 
World Radio Day is celebrated every year on February 13. It was proclaimed in 2011 by the Member States of UNESCO, and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012 as an International Day.(UNI)
