PM Modi praises Odia Tribal man and Internet sensation Isak Munda in his Mann Ki Baat, Know who is he?

Sambalpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised thirty-five year old Isak Munda of Babupal village in Jujumura Block in the district, in his Mann Ki Baat Programme for making productive use of technology.

Mr.Modi said, Isak Ji, who was once working as daily wage labourer, is now an internet sensation. Isak Ji is earning good money from the YouTube channel.

He shows videos about the local cuisine, cooking method of traditional food, his village, his lifestyle, family, food habits in his videos.

As a YouTuber Isak began his journey in March 2020 when he posted a video on the famous local dish of Odisha, 'Pakhala' and since then he has posted hundreds of videos, the Prime Minister said.

Describing the efforts of Isak is unique for many reasons, Mr. Modi said his videos are giving the opportunity to the people living in cities to know about the lifestyle of those people, about whom they have very little knowledge.

By balancing culture and cuisine equally, Isak Munda ji is today celebrating as well as inspiring us, the prime minister said.

A delighted Isak said, “I am very much excited as the Prime Minister mentioned about me and my work in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme.”

Isak uploaded his first video on March 26, 2020. The video became viral after it was viewed by nearly 5 lakhs people on Youtube.

Three months after posting the first video, Isak received Rs 37,000 in his bank account and subsequently he has been earning a hefty sum by making youtube videos of his culture, tribal community, family lifestyle and eating.

Munda who is running his channel by the name 'Isak Munda Eating', has 7.77 lakhs subscribers at present and has made 273 videos so far. (UNI)
