New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday received his second dose of COVID-19 vaccine at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here."Got my second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS today," the PM wrote on Twitter.
"Vaccination is among the few ways we have, to defeat the virus," he added.He also appealed to all citizens who are eligible to take the vaccine.PM Modi got the first jab of vaccine on March 1.
 
A total of 9,01,98,673 people have been vaccinated across the country till now with 29,79,292 vaccinations administered in the past 24 hours.

Earlier ,Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on March 1st to kick-start India's second phase of the immunisation drive.
 
Mr Modi shared a picture of himself being administered the vaccine by two healthcare workers and tweeted, "Took my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS. Remarkable how our doctors and scientists have worked in quick time to strengthen the global fight against COVID-19. I appeal to all those who are eligible to take the vaccine."

"Together, let us make India COVID-19 free!" he appealed to the eligible population to take the vaccine.

Minister Narendra Singh Tomar receives second dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar was on Thursday administered with the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital here.
 
"Today I took the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine by visiting Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi," the 63-year-old Minister informed through social media.
 
He further urged the eligible people to get vaccinated and said "Be afraid of disease, not vaccine".The Minister had got the first jab of the vaccine on March 6.(UNI)
