New Delhi:Son of former president Pranab Mukherjee, Abhijeet Mukherjee on Thursday cleared the speculations around his father's health and said that his condition is 'haemodynamically stable', while slamming the media for circulating fake news over his demise.
''My Father Pranab Mukherjee is still alive and haemodynamically stable! Speculations and fake news being circulated by reputed Journalists on social media clearly reflect that Media in India has become a factory of Fake News," Abhijeet Mukherjee tweeted.
Army's Research and Referral Hospital in Delhi Cantonment issued a statement saying that the condition of Pranab Mukherjee remains unchanged this morning.
''The condition of Mr Pranab Mukherjee remains unchanged this morning. He is deeply comatose with stable vital parameters and he continues to be on ventilatory support,'' the hospital said.
The former President's daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee also said that rumours about her father are false."Rumours about my father is false. Request, esp'ly to media, NOT to call me as I need to keep my phone free for any updates from the hospital," she tweeted.
Mr Pranab Mukherjee was admitted to the Army hospital on Monday for surgery. He underwent brain surgery on Monday after a clot was discovered.(UNI)
