Pregnant woman crushed to death by car in Noida

Noida: UP Police have arrested a parking attendant for crushing an eight-month pregnant woman to death at Sector 18 market of Gautam Budh Nagar district here on Sunday.

According to Circle Officer (CO) Shwetamber Pandey, the deceased was identified as Malti, resident of JS Aroma Society, falling under Sector 75 police station.The mother-to-be had come to the market for shopping with her husband Prateek. While they were returning, the parking attendant ran over her on a speeding car, injuring her seriously. She was taken to a private hospital nearby, where doctors declared her dead.

Mr Pandey said the medicos could not save the eight-month-old foetus.According to the CO, the accused first rammed the car into two standing vehicles and later crushed the woman. Afterwards, the vehicle hit a pillar and stopped. Police arrested the accused and started investigations, he added.(UNI)
