In a shocking incident, the Acharya and sewadar of Dandi Ashram of Ujjain sexually exploited 19 minor students. A case has been registered against them.

19 children studying in the ashram have lodged an FIR at Mahakal police station. Police have arrested Acharya Rahul Sharma, however sewadar Ajay Thakur is absconding.

The ashram is situated on Badnagar road, around 15 km away from Ujjain. Children from nearby districts study in the ashram.

ASP Jayant Rathore said that after the complaint of the children, a case has been registered against the accused sewadar Ajay Thakur and Acharya Rahul Sharma.

Both the accused reportedly used to commit wrongdoings by calling the minors alone in their room, the police official said.

It is noteworthy that the accused Acharya Rahul Sharma had helped a 12-year-old rape victim girl 7 months ago.

The minor was caught on a CCTV camera going door-to-door seeking help in a semi-naked state as she bled from her private parts. These scenes had triggered outrage across the country and political circles.
