Recently former congress president and member of parliament Rahul Gandhi was seen having a splash in the seawater after plunging with few fishermen in Tamilnadu. In the last leg of the Tamil Nadu tour he showcased his muscle power when challenged by a school student.
50-year-old Rahul Gandhi completed the challenge successfully by doing 14 push-ups in just 10 seconds! That's not all he also did a one-handed push up to prove he is fit enough for any physical task.

It is to be noted that Rahul Gandhi is on a tour of poll-bound southern state Tamilnadu, He went to a school located in the mulgugudan, Kanyakumari where a girl student threw a fitness challenge before him to complete 15 pushups in 10 seconds.

Earlier in his initial tour, he was seen in a vacay mood where he jumped into the sea along with fishermen to get respite from the scorching heat of Tamil Nadu.

It is to be noted that Tamil Nadu and neighboring centre ruled state Puducherry will go to the polls on April 6th. There are 234 assembly seats in the southernmost state of India where voters will exercise their right to vote.

In Tamil Nadu, the ruling AIADMK re-elected in 2016 after winning 136 seats of 234 in 2016 under the leadership of late chief minister J Jayalalithaa, will be challenged by Stalin-led DMK, having an alliance with Congress. The BJP has sided with AIADMK while Tamil cinema star Kamal Hassan, who has floated a new party-- Makkal Neethi Maiam (MNM)--will contest from the third front. The DMK & Congress are making most of the anti-incumbency of the AIADMK govt.

This is the first election that will be fought in the absence of the south stalwarts late Jayalalitha and late DMK supremo Karunanidhi. (WD)
