New Delhi: Refusing to stay implementation of 10 percent quota to the economically weaker sections (EWS) in general category, the Supreme Court on Friday said that it will examine the matter.
A bench, headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and comprising Justice Khanna, issued a notice to the Centre  on a petition challenging the reservation and gave it four weeks to respond.

The petitioner, 'NGO Youth For Equality', challenged the Constitution(103rd) Amendment Act, 2019, which enables reservation for EWS in public employment and higher studies up to a limit of 10 percent.(UNI)
