Srinagar: Several soldiers were injured when militants triggered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in a village in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said here on Friday.
Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
Officials said militants triggered an IED planted under a bridge on Trichal-Lassipora road in Pulwama when a security force vehicle was crossing the bridge at around 2150 hrs last night, resulting in injuries to several soldiers.
The injured were immediately taken to Army’s 92 base hospital in Srinagar.
In a statement issued to a local media, a JeM spokesman claimed that his militant outfit was responsible for the IED attack on forces.
