Shimla, Aug 26 (UNI) Supply of essential commodities, including milk and vegetables, was snapped today in the capital town of Himachal Pradesh.

Due to prevailing tension in many places in Haryana and Punjab after conviction of Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh at CBI court at Panchkula yesterday, supply of milk, bread and other milk products could not be made to Shimla, Solan, Kandaghat and other nearby areas.

Milk and bread dealer at Lower Bazaar Tinku said that they did not get any supply today.

Deputy Commissioner (Shimla), Rohan Chand Thakur, said that additional supply of milk and bread was made on Thursday and Friday ahead of the verdict in the 'Godman's' case.

The Administration had cautioned the traders to not hoard these items and supply them on inflated prices.
