New Delhi: The Supreme Court YouTube channel, which was used to live-stream the Court proceedings has been hacked on Friday.
The official link to the channel, after the hack, displayed the name "Ripple" and showed videos relating to the cryptocurrency of the company Ripple Labs.
Now, the channel's link has been disabled.
The Supreme Court's Registry has taken note of the breach and is taking steps.
A notice was issued by Hargurvarinder Singh Jaggi, Registrar (Technology), stating "This is to inform all concerned that the YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of India has been taken down. The services on the YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of India will be resumed shortly."
