South West Monsoon vigorous over west Madhya Pradesh

Pune: The Southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over west Madhya Pradesh, said the Indian Meteorological Department here today.

It was active over Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Gujarat Region.
While, it was weak over Jharkhand, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Karnataka.

Thunderstorm had occurred at isolated segments over west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, east Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Telangana during past 24 hours.

Rain or thundershowers had pounded at most zones in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the period.

They had battered many locations in Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, east & west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat Region and Lakshadweep during the period.They had lashed a few divisions in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Islands during the period.

Isolated places in Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, west Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, north & south Interior Karnataka also received rain during the period. (UNI)
