A shocking video has emerged from Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh, in which Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and chairman of Rasara Sugar Mill, Babban Singh Raghuvanshi was seen engaging in inappropriate behaviour with an orchestra girl in a wedding event.
The viral video shows the woman sitting on Babban's lap as he touches her inappropriately and kisses her during a wedding. It is said that this video is about 20 days old.
After the video went viral, Babban told media that the viral video was recorded in Bihar during a wedding event. He alleged that Bansdih MLA Ketakee Singh and her husband circulated the video to tarnish his reputation.
Defending himself, he said that he is 70 years old and incapable of such acts, dismissing the video as fake.
Raghuvanshi further said that he is a relative of Uttar Pradesh Transport Minister Daya Shankar Singh and has also contested the election from Bansdih assembly seat on a BJP ticket in 1993. He also clarified that he is a contender for the ticket for the upcoming elections and that’s’ why a conspiracy is being hatched against him. However, social media users are constantly demanding action against the BJP leader.
The video has stirred a political storm in the state. Sharing the footage, Samajwadi Party leader Pankaj Rajbhar and Congress leader Surendra Rajput have condemned the BJP leader's behavior. However, Surendra Rajput later deleted the post.
