Uttar Pradesh: 5th man-eater wolf captured in Bahraich; only one left

Bahraich: The fifth man-eater wolf has been captured at Harbakhsh Purva village in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, sources said.

A fifth wolf was captured in a cage by the forest department under 'Operation Bhediya' at Harbaksh Purwa village, leaving only one wolf in the forest.

According to sources, to trace the wolf, night vision cameras were installed on the banks of villages and fields adjacent to the ravines. About 25 teams of the forest department were continuously conducting search operations in search of the wolf.

Chief Conservator of Forests, Central Region, Renu Singh, said that the location of the wolf was traced last night but could not be captured due to the onset of night. This morning the female wolf was caught and will be sent to some zoo.
