Uttar Pradesh horror: Bike-borne youths throw acid on two girls in Deoria

Deoria (UP): Two girls were attacked with an acid by unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreants in the Gauri Bazar area of Deoria district here in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, a police officer said.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Sharma said that the girls were attacked with an inflammable substance near Devgaon turn while they were going to Gauri Bazar from their home on cycle.

"While the miscreants managed to escape from the spot, the two girls have been admitted to the hospital by the police," he said.

He said that one girl sustained burn injuries on her face and hand. "The matter is being investigated. Three teams have been constituted to nab the miscreants," he said.
