Virat best, Rohit most dangerous batsman: Mohammed Shami

India pacer Mohammed Shami labeled Virat Kohli as the best batsman in world cricket and Rohit Sharma as the most dangerous batsman."Virat Kohli is the best batsman in the world. Virat has just broken a lot of records. I feel Virat is the best and Rohit Sharma is the most dangerous batsman in the world," Shami said as published in the RCB portal.

The pacer was recently conferred with the Arjuna Award this year for his excellent season in 2023. In the ICC Men’s 2023 ODI World Cup, he claimed 24 wickets in seven matches.The 33-year-old spoke about the journey of Indian bowlers in the marquee event.

"People talk about the performance of the bowlers during the World Cup, but, if you have to look at the overall picture, you have to go back to 2013 and 2014. That is where the journey started. If we look at the facts now, we only had three fast bowlers performing in the World Cup this time, which makes us believe that we have set the benchmark for future bowlers,” he said.

Shami is currently recovering from his ankle injury and has not been part of competitive cricket post the World Cup. (UNI)<>
