34 yr old Ward boy arrested for molesting pregnant COVID patient!

Thane: A 34-year-old ward boy at the Covid Centre of the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has been arrested by the Bazarpeth police station on the charge of allegedly molesting a pregnant woman Covid patient in a ward.

After being tested positive, the woman was admitted and being treated at the Covid centre of KDMC. The ward boy entered the ward under the pretext of some work and molested her recently, police said on Monday.When the woman raised an alarm, those around rushed in and caught the ward boy, Srikant Mohite.

An offence under section 354 of Indian Penal Code has since been registered with the Bazarpeth police station, who are conducting a probe into the incident.KDMC medical officer Dr Ashwini Patil said that the probe into the case is underway and action will be taken on the guilty person.Similar incidents have had occurred at different locations in the past.(UNI)
