44 killed as bus plunges into river in Himachal

Shimla: At least 44 people were feared killed after a bus plunged into Tons river near Chopal of this district of Himachal Pradesh. A private bus, carrying about 56 passengers, en route to Vikasnagar from Tiyuni of Uttarakhand, fell into the river at 1100 hrs.
 

A Nerwa-based medical official said that police, fire brigade, doctors and paramedics have been rushed to the spot. (UNI)
