New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will stage a protest outside Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in Delhi on February 2 over rigging in the Chandigarh Mayoral election, sources said on Thursday here.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will lead the party’s protest against the BJP, as per sources.

The protest coincides with the day the Enforcement Directorate summoned Kejriwal in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.

On Wednesday, the central probe agency issued the fifth summons to CM Arvind Kejriwal and asked him to join the investigation on February 2.

The AAP chief has previously skipped four summonses, calling them “illegal and politically motivated.”

He asserted that notices issued by the ED are solely intended to prevent him from campaigning in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Kejriwal was earlier asked to depose before the ED on January 18, January 3, November 2, and December 21.
