Himachal Pradesh: 4 children burnt alive after fire breaks out in 2 thatched huts in Una

Hamirpur/Una (HP): Four children including a girl were burnt alive in a fire that broke out in the Amb sub-division of the Una district of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday night.
 
The fire brigade and police team reached the spot as soon as the fire was reported. The police have started the investigation by taking possession of the dead bodies.
 
SHO Ashish Pathania said that on Wednesday late night in Amb, the thatched huts of Bhadeshwar Das and Ramesh Das, residents of Nanda Puri district Darbhanga, Bihar, caught fire, which 4 children lost their lives due to fire.
 
The cause of the fire was stated to be accidental.
 
The dead included Ramesh Das's three children, Neetu (14), Golu Kumar (7), Shivam Kumar (6) and their relative Kalidas's son Sonu Kumar (17), who were sleeping in Ramesh Das's hut.
 
A sum of 30 thousand rupees was also burnt in the fire.
 
As soon as the fire was reported, Fireman Lucky Kumar, Home Guard Shamin Kumar, and Driver Tarsem Lal from Fire Station Amb reached the spot with the fire brigade and saved the fire from spreading further.
 
HP Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhoo and Deputy Chief Minister, Mukesh Agnihotri have expressed their shock over the sad incident and have asked the authorities to provide immediate relief to the affected families. (UNI)
