Jammu and Kashmir: Militants shot & injured non-local cab driver in Shopian

Srinagar: Militants shot at and injured a non-local cab driver in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday evening, police said.
 
“A taxi driver was fired upon by terrorists in Heerpora Shopian and got injured," police said on X.
 
Police said a search operation is going on. Further details will follow.
 
The non-local has been identified as Paramjit Singh, a taxi driver and a resident of Delhi who suffered injuries.
 
He has been shifted to a nearby health facility for treatment, sources said.
 
Security forces have rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area to nab the attackers.
 
This is the second attack on non-locals in Kashmir Valley this year. On February 8, militants shot two residents of Punjab in Shaheed Gunj area of old city Srinagar.
