Jammu Police arrests 5 women thieves for stealing goods of Smart City Project

Jammu: Jammu Police have cracked the theft case of goods meant for Smart City Project by arresting five women.

Police spokesman said that on November 1, a complaint was lodged that some unknown persons stole one concrete vibrator, welding machine and cable wire from the store room of Jammu Smart City Project at BC Road following which a case was registered and investigation started.

He said that police team on the basis of CCTV footage identified all the thieves turned out to be women.

"All the women thieves were taken into custody by the police team led by Station House Officer, Bus Stand, Deepankar Sharma," he said.

The arrested women thieves were identified as Bimla, Bindu, Kavita Devi, Mohini and Sunita, all resident of Rajeev Nagar, Narwal, Jammu and stolen items were recovered. (UNI)
