In collaboration with SPV-CSC from the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the Department of Higher and Technical Education in Jharkhand has established 159 Student Resource Centres (SRC) across the state's 300 colleges.

These centres aim to empower the youth by providing them with digital skills development, personality development resources, and access to government and non-government services within the college premises.

CSC is actively working to establish SRCs in the remaining colleges, engaging with college managements statewide. The initiative seeks to mould students into industry-ready professionals, moving beyond the traditional role of degree holders and preparing them for competitive job scenarios.

Furthermore, CSC, in collaboration with leading Edu - tech company TeamLease, has introduced an innovative earning and education scheme for Jharkhand's youth.

In Jharkhand selected students will receive a monthly stipend of ten thousand rupees, fixed for Jharkhand students, enabling them to earn while pursuing their studies. Seven students have already enrolled, receiving confirmation letters at the state-level SRC Learning Co-ordinator workshop held at Jharkhand Technological University (JTU), Namkum, Ranchi. CSC plans to enroll an additional 40 students, with confirmation letters to follow.

The Government of Jharkhand, in consultation with the University Grants Commission (UGC), is actively implementing digital empowerment initiatives for youth and students. These include e-learning services such as E-Samitya Portal, ABCID Card, and Learning Management System, with CSCs playing a crucial role in execution.

The workshop, inaugurated by Rahul Purwar, Secretary, Higher and Technical Education Department, Jharkhand, commended the SRC project as a revolutionary initiative benefiting students. Learning Coordinators under the SRC Project will oversee the implementation of e-learning services, providing students access to various digital services on their college campuses. These centers aim not only to equip students with employment-ready skills but also to contribute to creating a digitally empowered and well-informed society for the state's citizens.

During the workshop, Akshay Jha, COO of CSC-SPV, highlighted the potential to connect students with advanced educational and technical programs through the Learning Management System. Shantanu Rooj, CEO, TeamLease Ad Tech, emphasized the initiative to integrate earning and studies simultaneously, ensuring regular income for students through apprenticeship during their three-year course.

CSC Vice President Naveen Sharma engaged participants in discussions about the future strategy for the CRC project, including the E-Samantha portal. Kunal Gupta, CEO and Founder of Value in Innovation, provided insights into the online resume maker service.
