Maharashtra CM's helicopter crash-lands, all passengers safe

Mumbai: A Maharashtra Government Sikorsky helicopter which had six persons, including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis onboard, crash-landed at Latur today but all passengers escaped unhurt.
 

According to a statement from Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), after taking off, the pilot found variable wind pattern, due to which he decided to land back. However, during the landing, the helicopter got entangled in wires and suffered substantial damage. The DGCA said all passengers, including Mr Fadnavis, were safe. The helicopter had taken off from Nilanda SE off Latur at 1200 hrs. (UNI)
