Maharashtra: Tense situation in Kolhapur over matter glorifying Tipu Sultan

Kolhapur: There was tension in Kasba Bavada, a suburb of the city, following a matter glorifying Tipu Sultan being found written on Durga Daud Marg on Monday morning.

However, police intervened quickly to bring the situation under control.

Every year on this day a Durga Daud is organised by Hindu organisations in Kasaba Bavada area. Some workers observed some matter glorifying Tipu Sultan had been written on the Daud Marg by unidentified persons. They immediately informed the police, who rushed to the spot immediately and removed the matter.

The police assured that action would be taken against those responsible. (UNI)
