Mumbai: Mumbai Guardian Minister Aslam Shaikh on Monday said it is true he was invited for the Cordelia Cruise party which was raided on October 2 by the Narcotics Control Bureau Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan was taken in to custody.

Shaikh said, however, he did not attend it.

He was confirming the revelations made by Nationalist Congress Party Minister Nawab Malik on Sunday. The guardian minister said that one Kashiff Khan had invited him to the party but as Shaikh did not know him nor had ever spoken to him so he did not pursue the matter further.

Presently, two agencies -- the NCB and Mumbai Police -- are currently probing the issue and the truth would come out soon, the minister told mediapersons.

Shaikh said that the manner in which Malik has been making revelations almost daily, it is now clear that there’s a systematic conspiracy to “malign the Maha Vikas Aghadi” government in Maharashtra.

Shaikh lashed out at the opposition BJP pointing out "they habitually hurl unsubstantiated charges at their rivals to derive political mileage". (UNI)
