New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday sentenced Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu to one-year rigorous imprisonment (RI) in a 1988 road rage case.

In 2018, the apex court acquitted the cricketer-turned-politician of homicide charges but convicted him for voluntarily causing hurt to the victim.

In September 2018, the top court gave its assent to consider a plea seeking a review of its May 15, 2018 order. (UNI)
