Petrol prices up by 58 paise per litre, diesel down by 31 paise

New Delhi: Public sector petroleum companies have increased the prices of petrol by 58 paise per litre, whereas the prices of diesel have gone down by 31 paise per litre. According to an Indian Oil Corporation press release, the new prices will come into effect from midnight on 15th/16th September 2016.
 

According to the release, the current level of international product prices of Petrol and Diesel and INR-USD exchange rate warrant increase in selling price of Petrol and decrease in selling prices of Diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision. The movement of prices in the international oil market and INR-USD exchange rate shall continue to be monitored closely and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes.
