Prime accused Muzammil Syed arrested in Aspiring model murder

Mumbai: A local court on Tuesday remands a youth into police custody for a week for allegedly killing a model, whose body was found in a suitcase in an isolated spot in Mumbai's western suburb of Malad on Monday. (Pic-Twitter)

Model Mansi Dixit was in her early 20's and an aspiring actress. Police said, the model went to meet the accused Muzammil Syed, a 19-year-old student, at his relative's home. After an heated argument, he allegedly killed her and packed her body in a suitcase. He then called a cab and went to a desolate road in Malad where he dumped the suitcase.

The cab driver who alerted the police after he felt that there was something suspicious about the manner in which the suitcase was dumped. Police then found Ms Dixit's body stuffed in the suitcase near Mindspace, a commercial hub in Malad area of Suburban Mumbai and arrested Muzammil Syed within an hour.

Mansi Dixit's body was sent for autopsy and a case of murder and destruction of evidence was registered.Investigating officer Pandurang Nishandar said that the accused Muzammil Syed is a resident of Hyderabad and he had come to Mumbai with his relatives.(UNI)
