New Delhi: The most prominent address in the capital today changed with the Race Course Road, leading to the residence of the Prime Minister being renamed as Lok Kalyan Marg. A resolution in this regard was unanimously adopted by the New Delhi Municipal Council at a special council meeting this afternoon.
The meeting was attended by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi. Both are members of the NDMC. Addressing mediapersons here, Mr Kejriwal said there were some suggestions in NDMC meeting, but consensus was that Race course road be now called Lok Kalyan Marg. Ms Lekhi said she was very happy that road was renamed with full consensus. (UNI)
