Kanpur: Chairman of Rotomac Group Vikram Kothari passed away on Tuesday. He breathed his last at his Tilak Nagar residence, his spokesman said.

Kothari was an accused in around Rs 3,700 crore bank fraud and was out of bail after spending two years in the jail in connection with the fraud case. His son Rahul Kothari is still in jail.

Kothari was known as 'pen king' in the business world. He spread his business of Rotomac pen to 38 countries. His dominance could be gauged from the fact that super stars like Salman Khan and Raveena Tandon were brass ambassadors on his pen brand.

A couple of months back Kothari suffered from brain hemorrhage after he slipped at his home and was airlifted to Delhi for treatment. (UNI)
