Mathura: A retired Army soldier was allegedly shot dead after he tried to kill his wife and daughter in the Nauhjheel area of this district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Tuesday.
According to sources here, Chetram (40), a retired Army soldier residing in Mithaili of the Nauhjheel area, shot at his wife Raj Kumari (38) and 18-year-old daughter over some argument at around 2230 hrs on Monday.
As he was about to shoot his 14-year-old son, his injured daughter somehow snatched the pistol from his hand and shot at Chetram, which led to his death. The injured mother and daughter have been sent to the hospital. Further probe is on.(UNI)
