Taj Mahal to remain closed on Feb 12. Here's WHY

Agra (UP): The Taj Mahal will remain closed for the general tourist on February 12 in the wake of the G-20 Summit, official sources said here on Wednesday.
 
Chief Superintending Engineer of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has issued an order in this regard. As per the order along with Taj, the Agra fort will also remain closed on February 11 for the common tourist, sources said.
 
Sources said that the first conference of the G-20 Summit is scheduled to be held in Taj city between February 11 to February 13. The delegations of different countries are scheduled to reach Agra on February 10 evening, they said.
 
Sources said that during the conference the delegations will visit Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and I'tim?d-ud-Daulah memorial. Around 180 foreign guests are expected to be part of different delegations, they said. (UNI)
