Koppal: Two people were killed and six injured in a communal clash in a village in Karnataka's Koppal district on Thursday.
The administration immediately imposed Section 144 in the district prohibiting the assembly of five or more people.
According to the police, the clash broke out over an alleged love affair between a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl.
Apparently, during Muharram, the police said the Hindu boy went to meet the girl. This led to a row between the two communities which sparked violence.
Wali Pasha (22) and Yenkappa Talavad (60) were killed in the clash, the police said. (UNI)
